After creating a blog [Read => How to create/start a blog using blogspot Blogger] on blogger you need to do basic blogger setting . If you are a beginner, then this post wiil be very helpful in configuring basic Blogger settings .
Configuring basic Blogger settings is not a tidious task, Anyone who dont know anything about technology or any web skill can peform this task very easily.
You need to do following 6 basic blogger setting for better SEO.
1. Basic : Under this setting you can change the title and description of your blog. Write the description of your blog which will be shown in your blog below blog title. Next to description setting by default the privacy setting remain yes. These setting is used fr privacy of your blog
2. E-mail: You can select Comment Notification email in which you want notification after posting comment by any one
3. Posts, Comments and Sharing :

1.Posts : Show at most ? on the main
page Setting is for Number of post displayed on home page of your blog . By default it is 7 and 7 post usually dispalyed on home page of your blog . if you want change number of post 10 or 4 or any number you can set the value
2.Comments : Select Embeded, If you want to Google+ comments on the blog you can chose this option. For this Use Google+ Comments on this blog option Yes. All google+ comment will be shown on the blog.
3.Language and Formatting: The Language and Formatting option allows you in which language you want use your blog. You can also change time setting like time zone time and date format in this section

5. Other Setting:
(i). Import & Backup: For future if there comes any issue in your blog any time You can import and backup full blog content ( like posts, pages, and comments) using these setting.  Delete Blog: If you want to delete the blog temporarily or Permanentaly . Using this option you can do it.  (ii). Site Feed: Allow Blog Feed allow quantity of content you want to share. You can turn off the site feed.  (iii). Full: This option allows you to show the entire content of each post on your blog (iv). Until Jump Break: Shows contents before your jump break (v). Short: Shows a short feed from the beginning of each post (vi). None: It will turn your entire site feed off (vii). Custom: You can set here advance options for your blog posts, comment feed, or per post comment feed. (viii). Post Feed Redirect URL: If you use feed management service like Feedburner etc , then use this option to redirect your feed. (ix). Post Feed Footer: If you use ads or third party feed additions, then you can add the code here . (x). Adult Content : By default this option is No. If your site have adult content, set the option to Yes. (xi). Google analytics : This option allows you track your blog, using your Google analytics id. 6. User Setting: This is used disply the profile of author or writer of blog.
